Term Papers, Taxes (Photo credit: Bright Green Pants)
Labor Day is a great time to spend with family and enjoy a little time off of work. Its a time that we can enjoy the fruits of our labor. I hope you have a safe and fun Labor Day!
Wait! There’s one more thing I want to share with you and I just could wait any longer. September 6th is National “Fight Procrastination Day!”
Have you ever waited until the last second to get something done…a term paper, filing your taxes, fixing something that is broken at home? I think we can all relate to doing this at some point. But not this Thursday, September 6th!
We typically procrastinate because it is more painful to do the action, than it is to not do anything at all. We finally take action when the pain gets to unbearable to not do anything at all…like not turning in the term paper on time, or the IRS comes after you, or the sink finally breaks and causes a big mess at home.
It’s time to take action. It’s time to procrastinate procrastinating! Take time this Thursday to get something done that you have been putting off for days, months, even years! You’ll be glad when its done. Or even better, do something right now!
Enjoy your weekend and remember,
“I’ve got your back,”
Dr Scot Gray
PS: Please share with us any stories of something you take action on and how it makes you feel.
