AS I WRITE THIS EMAIL I JUST FINISHED CELEBRATING MY GRANDMA’S 90TH BIRTHDAY AND HER SISTER CELEBRATED HER 100TH!Grandma-Gray-and-I-90th-birthday-e1350295156482-300x292

I love how well she gets around for her age. She gets around better than a lot of people half of her age. And I am once again struck by one of the most common comments I get (and I got it again at her birthday party) — HOW CAN SHE GET AROUND SO GOOD FOR HER AGE?

Friends, we don’t have to be bent over a cane or walker by the time we are 90. This is one of the biggest misconceptions that I see every day…and it makes me mad. It makes me mad that people suffer needlessly.

The PROOF is in! In a study published by one of the most important peer-reviewed journals about back pain, SPINE, 2011; they write: “Only spinal [adjustments] with maintenance was significantly better at 10 month follow-up on all outcomes [for chronic low back pain].”

What does this mean to YOU?

Chiropractic works! Which means that YOU can get to 90 and have great movement too! And you don’t have to worry about getting Meningitis from back injections! (I believe we’re up to 6 people in Marion, Ohio with Meningitis now from injections at pain clinics).

I grew up with both of my grandmothers living with me. Grandma Gray and Grandma Brown…seriously, my mom just changed colors when she got married. 🙂  They had very different lifestyles and I watched the difference it made in their lives, first-hand.

Grandma Brown liked to sit around and watch TV and she never went to a chiropractor to have her spine checked. She actually lost 6 inches in height due to how badly her spine deteriorated throughout her life…because she never did anything for it.

Grandma Gray on the other hand, has always been active and she went to a chiropractor her entire life (she did maintenance adjustments) and gets adjusted to this day. I’m glad I can help her now!

My Grandma Brown was always sick and used a walker for many of the last years of her life. It was sad to see how quickly her health went downhill as she aged. It was quite different watching how healthy my Grandma Gray stays to this day.
